Life on the Farm

Wheat fields, an old barn, an old abandoned house, tractor equipment, cute kids, and a wonderfully beautiful close-knit family. What else could a photographer ask for. There is one thing... nice weather. This day though, it wasn't going to happen.

If you've ever been to a farm you know how unpredictable the weather can be. This particular day it was just that. Most of the day it had been sunny, warm, and lovely. Around 4:30, just before I was to head out to the beautiful rolling wheat hills of the palouse the wind started blowing, the sky started getting dark, and menacing clouds started to form. Despite it all, I did my best to get some decent lifestyle photography shots before the wind and dust carried everyone away.

Holy cow, makes me want to marry that guy! Love the photos and can't believe the Marz place can look that poetic.

Very nice rendition of the family I love! You are a credit to your profession.

(I can hear my bro-in-law now though. "I shouldn't hold her, I'm all dirty!" ^_^)

Can't wait to see all the proofs!

Amber, your pictures of the Schultheis family on the farm are magical! Your vision was perfect. My brother-in-law in his element with Kate and Emma are pictures that will last a lifetime. Would you consider doing Jana's more mature sister on the other side of the pass? Thanks for capturing the love in a very touching way.
